UK VoIP solutions boosted as BT signs up 15m customers


The UK VoIP solutions could be boosted by the continued roll-out of BT's broadband service. The telecommunications giant has confirmed that fifteen million British households and businesses are now connected to its high-speed internet network. Over five million of the connections are made directly through the firm while the remaining lines are delivered by other companies, such as Sky and TalkTalk, who use BT's infrastructure.

Mobile VoIP services set to 'expand'


The mobile VoIP solutions industry is set to expand as more firms begin to offer data-only services, it has been claimed. The majority of VoIP uses currently select a traditional calling plan in addition to a data package which allows them to make VoIP calls. Currently, few firms allow customers to opt for a data-only plan but Anton Wahlman, a former telecommunications analyst, claimed this service will help the sector expand.

US VoIP service providers continue to grow


US VoIP service providers have continued to grow over the past three years, it has been revealed. The latest Inc 5000 report, which lists the fastest-growing private firms in the US, has shown that VoIP providers have continued to prosper despite the economic downturn. Vox Network Solutions, which provides both IP telephony solutions and unified communications, has experienced 1736 per cent growth over the last three years.
