Telappliant reaches BCS awards finals


Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) communications may have been spreading throughout the business world, but Telappliant is the only VoIP supplier in the UK worthy of recognition, in the opinion of the British Computer Society (BCS).

The London-based internet telephony solutions provider is the only company in the UK VoIP sector to make it into the finals in the Technology Supplier of the Year category at the BCS IT Industry Awards 2007.

With BCS choosing companies from across the IT industry to battle it out for top spot, Telappliant has had to meet high standards of professionalism and excellence in the VoIP field in order to reach the last ten.

"We are extremely pleased to be finalists," said Muhammad Nasim, chief technical officer of Telappliant.

"We have prided ourselves on being experts in VoIP technology, offering the best possible services to our customer base."

Mr Nasim added that the wide range of VoIP options on offer from the company were helping their customers find the right package for them in order to "dramatically enhance their offerings and in a number of cases to radically change their business models".

Whether this will be enough to take home the coveted Technology Supplier of the Year gong is not yet certain, but all will be revealed at the awards ceremony in central London on December 6th.

Telappliant given ISO certification


Small businesses can now be even more confident when purchasing IP telephony solutions from Telappliant after the firm announced it has been given ISO 9001:2000 certification.

The VoIP provider has become one of just 150,000 firms worldwide to have achieved the status - which recognises companies for their consistent working practices.

ISO 9001 is certification that a company has passed the independent quality audit it must take every year to maintain its status. Telappliant have been awarded with the most recent 2000 version which combines three standards into one.

The new status is good news for small businesses planning to use one of Telappliant's services as it guarantees that the products are of a high standard.

Core quality management principles covered by ISO 9001 include customer focus, leadership, people involvement, continual improvement, a factual approach to decision making and a mutually beneficial supplier relationship.
