Masterchef star joins business broadband fightPosted 1 year 3 months ago in: Broadband ![]() Telappliant News: 2012-02-09 Rate this article: A star of television show Masterchef has joined the campaign to have state-of-the-art business broadband technology deployed in East Anglia. Series finalist Tim Kinnaird has added his support to a new website promoting the town of Swaffham, where the need for improved internet is one of the major issues, reported the Eastern Daily Press. Mr Kinnaird said the internet is crucial to his business, a baking company named Macarons and More. He pointed out that this week he has already sent products to Fife and Glasgow – transactions that would never have occurred had it not been for the web. Commenting on the county's fight for better broadband, he said: "This campaign is not about what we need broadband for now, it is about what we might need it for in five years' time." Environment secretary Caroline Spelman this week reaffirmed the government's commitment to bringing the best broadband solutions to rural outposts in the UK.
