Norfolk politicians could pave the way for VoIP solutionsPosted 1 year 3 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2012-01-30 Rate this article: Businesses in Norfolk may find that the actions of local politicians help them to invest in voice over internet protocol (VoIP) solutions. A campaign is being run in the county in a bid to encourage people to back plans to upgrade broadband infrastructure – and it appears the first to get on board are parliamentary, district, city and parish level representatives. The Eastern Daily Press has told how the Say Yes to Better Broadband campaign is winning widespread approval among politicians. It is aiming to back the idea of equipping homes and businesses with faster internet links by winning the support it requires. Should high-quality superfast broadband be installed in Norfolk, firms in the region may be in a stronger position to deploy and make the most of technology such as VoIP solutions. It was recently reported that Rosedale in Yorkshire is to benefit from £130,000 in funding from Ryedale District Council in order to upgrade its broadband technology.
