VoIP hardware 'triggers numerous benefits'

There is a great range of benefits to be enjoyed by companies with the ambition and resources to invest in voice over internet protocol (VoIP) hardware.

Andy Abramson, author of blog site VoIPWatch, explained that for some time the single advantage of deploying the technology was the ability to reduce cost.

By running telephony activities over the net rather than through a traditional phone line, businesses are able to slash their expenditure in this area.

However, this has now all changed and business leaders should be aware that they can benefit in other ways too.

"Now it's the opportunity to receive, or even provide more services - especially when cloud-based communications are adopted," Mr Abramson stated.

Britons may be best placed to enjoy the full potential of VoIP solutions, as a recent Ofcom report showed 59 per cent of premises in the country have access to superfast connections – far higher than in countries such as Germany and Italy.
