Growing number of employees could benefit from mobile VoIP solutions

An increasing number of workers in the European Union could soon benefit from mobile VoIP solutions, given research revealing that 47 per cent of all enterprises used mobile broadband connections in 2011.

This is up from the 27 per cent that made use of such technology in 2010, according to figures from statistical office of the European Union Eurostat.

Between 2010 and 2011, the share of enterprises with mobile broadband connections grew in all member states, with the biggest increases being seen in Estonia, Germany, Greece and France. The highest shares of companies with access this year were seen in Finland, Sweden and Austria.

By contrast, those member states with the lowest shares were Romania, Latvia and Poland.

This comes after an Ofcom report revealed that superfast broadband is becoming increasingly more available in the UK and quicker than other countries in the EU.

By June of this year, 59 per cent of UK households could connect to a high-speed link, compared with three per cent of Germans.
