VoIP solutions provide 'a viable way to slash bills'

In this day and age, austerity measures are the be all and end all for many businesses, whose very future could depend on the ability to cut costs to remain profitable.

One area firms could look towards is their telecommunications. With a vast range of options available, choosing a solution that provides cost-effectiveness should be viable.

Patrick Miller, writing for PC World, has carried out an experiment in this area over recent weeks.

He said he has tried using both traditional mobile technology and VoIP solutions, with varying rates of success.

While the author admitted that VoIP solutions are not yet the finished article, they do provide a "viable way to slash your cellular bill", with what he described as only the "occasional minor inconvenience" to overcome.

CSO Magazine recently published a guide to using VoIP in which it suggested that understanding the technology is the key to mastering it and enjoying the full range of benefits it triggers.
