VoIP solutions users 'must understand technology'

Users of voice over internet protocol (VoIP) solutions have been advised to spend some time getting to grips with the technology in order to ensure it remains secure.

As with any phone-based system in the world, hacking is a threat that concerns business users connected to VoIP.

However, CSO Magazine has published a guide to overcoming the worry and achieving the very best results with such a solution.

It noted that the one problem users can often have is a failure to grasp the basics of what VoIP is all about, leaving them more vulnerable than others.

VoIP servers are said to be an "amazing technology", but they must be looked after and regular conversations with staff are advised, while remaining in touch with a provider is also a good idea.
