Expert: Do research for best business broadband deals

Business broadband users could find the best available deals by simply putting in the hours when it comes to doing their homework.

Edd Dawson, editor of broadband.co.uk, explained that many individuals are guilty of neglecting their broadband contract and allowing it to continue for too long.

In such cases, it is likely that they or their business will be paying more for a connection to the web than new customers.

"[Broadband providers] will keep you on the old tariff because it makes them more money in most cases. That is why people sign up, get the broadband and then forget about it," stated Mr Dawson.

The expert added that it is worth paying attention to business broadband adverts, as those with an understanding of the matter will comprehend these and be able to take advantage of the latest deals.

Virgin Media last week revealed that approximately a third of British properties – including business premises – can receive its 100Mb service.
