VoIP solutions 'work equally well in all sectors'

Businesses have been advised that regardless of which sector they operate in, VoIP solutions are sure to be an efficient and successful implementation.

Dave Dadds, deputy chairman of the Federation of Communication Services, said one of the "great benefits" of the technology is that it will work in all environments.

He suggested that the key to successful adoption in fact lies with service providers, whose responsibility it is to program VoIP solutions so that they work at their best.

"If you set it right, then it's really attractive to just about any business - whether it's a one-man business, or its got 2,000 users, whether it's used on one site or [many]," Mr Dadds stated.

The expert added that another good idea is to add mobiles to an adoption of VoIP solutions, as this means numerous users can take one number.

Juniper Research recently predicted that mobile-based VoIP will grow over the coming years, thanks to the success of 3G and 4G networks.
