Companies have been advised that solutions – potentially including VoIP hardware – are ideal if they want to drive efficiency and eco-friendliness.

Raz Godelnik, co-founder of Ecolibris.net, explained there is plenty of software on the market that can be used to help a firm become more effective in its operations.

Of course, the solution depends on the type of business involved and how it currently consumes paper and other resources.

"Usually, they can find all sorts of software - for example for helping to get their operations completely digital," Mr Godelnik stated.

He went on to suggest that there are plenty of items often sent by post that could be dealt with electronically – perhaps by using VoIP hardware.

Andrew Boddington, director of marketing at Return on IT, this week urged bosses to carry out a thorough examination of how they use IT and other equipment within their business and to change anything that does not provide excellent value for money.
