Business broadband users in certain parts of the UK will soon benefit from a major upgrade due to be carried out by BT.

Openreach has announced that, in addition to the 110Mbps Fibre to the Premises service it is implementing, there will be a 300Mbps offering rolled out next spring.

BT has suggested this will mean speeds that are three times faster than what is on offer from other providers will be available.

"Today is a significant step in the UK's broadband journey. These developments will transform broadband speeds across the country and propel the UK up the broadband league table." Explained Openreach chief executive Liv Garfield.

The company has also received permission to double the speeds of its Fibre to the Cabinet service, completing a successful week for BT and its customers.

BT recently said people in Dumfries and Galloway will soon enjoy faster business broadband speeds, as it prepares to instigate a fibre-optic upgrade.

What about the legacy lines that are direct to the exchange, BT dont seem to0bothered with those. And this article says this concludes a successful week for BT. Quick to forget the major outage they suffered.
