Keeping up with the latest technology may be a wise move – and this includes installing a unified communications system featuring VoIP solutions.

Susan Campbell, writing for TMCnet, this week told industry chiefs they will face small obstacles when implementing such products, but the rewards are more than worth it.

VoIP can provide a cleaner, more efficient way for companies to do business, as well as cutting costs and environmental footprint in the process.

Now, PC World magazine has revealed its top reasons for unified communications – and VoIP – being such a top option.

Firstly, it pointed to the inevitable reduction in costs, before adding that firms can expect it to become easier for staff and less time consuming for IT experts, as fewer programs are required to complete tasks.

The publication went on to note further advantages as the ease with which users will be able to back-up data, along with an increase in agility and response times.
