British broadband users are increasingly embracing convergence in their online staples.

This is according to Andre Srinivasan, senior product manager for OnLive, who recently told of the "fantastic" uptake of his company's service.

He explained that OnLive enables those with a broadband connection to have their games instantly streamed to any compatible device, rather than relying on a traditional console set-up.

Mr Srinivasan went on to highlight the popularity of the system, which has already been running in the US for 18th months.

"I think we've shown to the publishers that gamers really do embrace the notion of [convergence]," he said.

Mr Srinivasan went on to set out some of his product's key benefits, noting that its unique format means gamers are not confined to a single device and can take their saved games across multiple formats.

OnLive made its debut at this year's Eurogamer Expo, held earlier in the month at London's Earls Court.
