VoIP solutions users offered business advice

A communications expert has spoken out to offer business advice to British firms, including those running VoIP solutions.

Rob Thurner, a mobile consultant and trainer, said that marketing is a major consideration for companies.

He noted that in order to succeed, such organisations must take risks – albeit considered ones – and act quickly to make the most of market conditions.

"Data integration is another fundamental part to digital, because of course you can capture all this data but it is a missed opportunity if that data is not shared," Mr Thurner added.

VoIP solutions could be used at this point to allow various departments or staff to share information.

This may be taken as a display of confidence in one another – something Mr Thurner believes is crucial to the smooth running of any company.

Nicola Mortimer, head of ICT and business development at O2, recently told of the benefits of cloud computing - which could persuade bosses to combine existing technology with the platform.
