Users of mobile VoIP solutions are demanding more from their mobile web browsing experience, yet many organisations are failing to meet their expectations.

That is according to a report from Compuware Corporation, which revealed that 56 per cent of people in the UK expect a web page to load as quickly, or faster than it would were they using their PC and broadband connection at home.

Just under half of UK users expect a page to load in three seconds or less, while 70 per cent revealed they are willing to wait no longer than five seconds or they will leave the website.

David Flower, vice-president of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Compuware's APM division, said that many firms are missing a golden opportunity.

"User expectations for mobile continue to increase, but companies in the UK are not meeting mobile users' need for fast and reliable experiences," he added.

Keerti Melkote, founder and chief technology officer of Aruba Networks, told the BBC that smartphones and tablet computers will revolutionise the way employees work.
