Enterprise IT departments 'struggling to get IT financial backing'Posted 10 months 4 days ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2011-07-21 Rate this article: Securing funding for new technology investments such as VoIP solutions and other products is harder for IT buyers in large companies than it is for those in smaller organisations. According to a study by Vanson Bourne, 60 per cent of IT professionals employed at firms with between 1,000 and 3,000 employees said they had difficulties getting financial backing for the majority or all of their proposals, computing.co.uk reports. Nearly all of those questioned revealed they struggle to secure the funds needed to invest in some of their plans, with 27 per cent claiming that they can never be sure of how board members will react to their suggestions. A further 39 per cent stated that they feel their company's executives realise the value VoIP solutions and other technologies can deliver for their organisation. According to a study conducted by communications specialist In-Stat, mobile VoIP usage among enterprises will grow to approach 83 million lines by 2015.
