Companies informed of benefits of VoIP solutions

Business owners have been informed of the benefits associated with VoIP solutions.

In its recent newsletter, advisory website Network World set out some of the benefits associated with the technology.

The portal claimed that companies using VoIP phones and similar communications systems can expect a "controlled and predictable cost" when operating such services.

It quoted the 2011 Sourcebook for VoIP and UC Services report by Delphi and Webtorials, which promoted these solutions as a great way for firms to save money and time.

The document noted that enterprises will benefit from improved efficiency, as managers will not need to spend as long administrating the communications system.

"Enterprise management will deal with a contract that can have very specific deliverables and service-level agreements," said the report.

This comes after TMCnet web editor Carrie Schmelkin suggested that many firms could enjoy a range of benefits from IP telephony, with reduced costs cited as a key factor.
