VoIP solutions could avoid 'command and control' structurePosted 11 months 1 week ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2011-06-15 Rate this article: Companies looking for a technological way of resolving an existing 'command and control' structure could look to VoIP solutions as a means of enhancing collaboration. Ashley Ward, a director at HR coaching company European Leaders, says it is important to engage employees at all levels of an organisation, in order to encourage them to work towards a common goal. "'Command and control' environments tend to instil a sense of fear in employees in management and middle management," he explains. He adds: "You need to be culturally led in a way that allows the people in the company to release talent." One option could be to support cultural change with the introduction of new technology, such as VoIP solutions. These can facilitate new ways of working - not only greater communication due to software-based dialling and presence alerts, but also document sharing and videoconferencing to take collaboration to the next level.
