VoIP phones manufacturer snom has produced a video highlighting the ways in which its
IP telephony solutions can boost productivity.
In a post on the snom VoIP Blog, the company explains that many end-users do not need the more advanced applications of IP telephony solutions.
They often simply want VoIP phones that work and have a beneficial effect on productivity - something its snom OCS Edition can achieve easily.
One of the core features of the phones is the ability to set presence status to 'away', 'busy', 'in a meeting' and 'do not disturb'.
In its light-hearted video, snom shows each of these as a euphemism for staff shirking their responsibilities - and demonstrates how managers can see who is 'available' from their own desktop phone.
The snom OCS Edition can also operate independently of a PC if desired, providing up to 12 IP
telephone lines per unit with no computer equipment required.
