Aastra 400 meets SMB demand for IP telephony solutions

Aastra is meeting the need for IP telephony solutions among small to medium-sized businesses with the launch of its Aastra 400 line of communication servers.

The units are designed to facilitate unified communications for organisations up to the medium range of expansion.

At the larger end of the product family, the Aastra 470 delivers up to 400 users' IP telephony solutions.

The Aastra 430 supports up to 50 individuals, while the Aastra 415 can accommodate between four and 12 people.

Numbers can be assigned to individuals for easier dialling, while groups can share voicemail and instant messaging to enhance collaboration.

Aastra already offers the software-based Aastra 800 communications server for Windows PC users.

This supports as many as 200 users, with call management functionality and the ability to set up DECT over IP connections for professional mobile calling.

"Aastra 800 can easily demonstrate its power anywhere you have an infrastructure totally based on IP," the company says.
