The snom roadshow rolls into Chicago this month, with the VoIP provider offering a SIP Trunking 101 masterclass among the events for those who attend.

Its session addresses SIP trunking from two angles - firstly, creating positive return on investment as a business case for the investment, while secondly using it to add value in more general terms.

Delegates can "experience the latest high-definition audio, colour and touchscreens and alternate wireless local area network connections in the latest snom 8xx series of VoIP phones".

The VoIP provider is also entering all those who attend into a prize draw to win a snom m3 DECT phone or iPod nano.

With the snom m3 DECT phone, users get the best of both worlds - the flexibility and low-cost calling of VoIP coupled with the mobility of a DECT handset.

This allows wireless operation up to 100 m outdoors and 50 m indoors, where walls and furniture cause more of an obstruction.
