Implementing hosted VoIP can allow employees to focus on their company's core business, an expert has stated.

In an article for mybroadband.co.za, Gail Holt suggested removing the stress of managing phone systems within a business can free up workers to concentrate on what they do best.

"The management of these increasingly complex business communications systems is outsourced and handled offsite, so the telephony system continues to work while employees can get on with their jobs safe in the knowledge that the telephony system will just work," she explained.

Ms Holt added that hosted VoIP can significantly increase productivity levels because members of staff can work just as effectively outside of the office as they can inside.

On top of that, the expert continued, the easy scalability of hosted IP telephony systems mean increasing or decreasing the number of users is simple and cost-effective.

In a recent article for VoIP Planet, Ted Stevenson described VoIP as the "right telephony solution" for small firms.
