VoIP solutions 'enhancing branch communications'

VoIP solutions are one of the key ways companies are improving their telecommunications network between branches, it has been claimed.

In an article for TMCNet, Mae Kowalke revealed many organisations in the last few years have neglected their inter-branch telephony and have failed to invest properly, but that might all be about to change.

Ms Kowalke highlighted a recent white paper published by electronics firm Siemens, which revealed intelligent solutions are on the increase as companies move increasingly towards communication using the cloud.

This type of software deployment provides scalable systems full of features that can help business run multiple offices at minimal cost and integrate with differentiated services, the report stated.

It added: "Users in branches need and deserve the best communications - now they can get them."

A recent study by the European Network and Information Security Agency urged European governments to embrace cloud technologies, to drive cost efficiency and provide high levels of service availability.
