VoIP 'buoyant in 2010'Posted 1 year 5 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2010-12-24 Rate this article: The last 12 months have been a great period for VoIP solutions, in the opinion of one expert. Demand for VoIP services has been consistently strong, while prices have remained low, Mike Dolan stated on FierceVoIP. Most companies are planning to upgrade to VoIP in the near future, Mr Dolan continued, with many viewing the technology as "mission critical". On top of that, he added, growth in the unified communications sector in the third quarter of 2010 was at the highest level since 2008. And as well as businesses of all sizes increasingly adopting VoIP services, individual consumers are now catching on to the benefits, the analyst added. "With 2010 being such a strong year for IP communications, I am sure we are all looking forward to what 2011 will bring," he commented. A recent report by CA Technologies showed 80 per cent of businesses with 1,000 or more employees are now using at least one cloud computing service such as VoIP.
