Experts have revealed the big questions companies looking to move to IP telephony solutions must answer before they make the switch to ensure they harness the "many benefits" they can provide.

The first decision, according to co-owner of Converged Telecoms Bryant Dennis, is whether to opt for a phased migration or a one-off upgrade.

Choosing the slower approach can often be more complicated, while the quicker route is usually more expensive, he argued.

Webcom Group business services director Dawie Bloomberg explained companies must also do their homework when selecting an IT partner.
