Clodagh Murphy, director of technology company Eclipse, claimed cloud computing can free up money within an enterprise due to the associated cost cuts. Everything is managed on a monthly basis, she continued, which means when staff numbers change expenditure can adapt quickly to fit the new requirements. As companies' use of technology becomes more effective they "will find they have more time to spend on the things they are good at, like selling their own products and growing their own businesses", she said. A recent report from the Centre for Economics and Business Research concluded wider adoption of cloud computing in the next five years could boost the UK economy by €30 billion (£25.15 billion). Technology research firm Ovum recently stated cloud computing will grow steadily in 2011.
