A US VoIP services firm has teamed up with an e-money payments provider to offer its customers the chance to purchase top-up vouchers.

EZ Call has formed a partnership with electronic money specialists Ukash, allowing VoIP service users to purchase credit from any of Ukash's 420,000 retail outlets located in 33 countries.

Consumers simply have to use EZ Call's "customer console" and enter the code found on the voucher in order to add the required credit to their account.

The vouchers can be purchased in the user's local currency, while Ukash has also confirmed that it does not accept credit card and debit card transactions.

This could be an advantage for some consumers who are reluctant to enter their financial details over the internet.

A statement from EZ Call said: "With Ukash, customers have a flexible new way to obtain retail quality VoIP termination at low wholesale rates."
