A Canadian firm has launched a new
mobile phone application which could help boost VoIP traffic levels in the country.
Brama Telecom has developed the software which enables users to access
IP telephony solutions while on the move.
Customers can make unlimited domestic calls as well as low-cost international calls outside of Canada and the US.
Brama said in a statement: "With the new and improved
VOIP services that we offer, the users are now entitled to enjoy unlimited overseas calling without the high charges, and a host of other exciting and useful features.
"We have devised applications that are user-friendly and cost effective."
The application uses Push notification technology which allows customers to receive incoming calls even when the software is not connected.
Furthermore, users have the option to switch to the G 722 voice codec to improve the audio quality of their calls.
