US search engine firm Rofo Group has upgraded its telephone system to VoIP services, it has been revealed.

Hosted VoIP solutions provider MegaPath has installed the new communications network throughout Rofo Group's offices.

The search engine company also took advantage of MegaPath's free phone offer, which gave new subscribers to its unlimited or global hosted services free Cisco SPA 303G handsets.

"In order to stay ahead of the game, small-to-mid sized businesses need solutions that enable them to operate as productively and cost-effectively as possible. One way is to implement VoIP within their business," said Bruce Chatterley, president of business markets at MegaPath.

"VoIP offers significant savings in both time and money. As a fully-managed voice and data services provider, we help smaller businesses save money on their communications services so that they can invest more in their core business."

A recent report by Infonetics Research revealed that the business VoIP market grew eight per cent in the first half of the year.
