A Korean firm has developed a new device which will enable users to make VoIP service calls without an internet connection.

HelloDial has created a specially designed adapter for traditional landline phones which plugs directly into a phone socket.

Once the hardware has been connected, it acts as a VoIP private branch exchange, allowing customers to benefit from the cost-savings of IP telephony solutions.

This bypasses the need for an internet connection as the adapter facilitates all VoIP functionality

Customers can also access VoIP solutions on the move as the vendor has created a similar mobile private branch exchange product.

HelloDial unveiled the new hardware at the GITEX technology conference in Dubai, which runs until 21st October.

The 30th anniversary of the global event is being held in the emirate's World Trade.
