VoIP service officials are due to descend on Chicago next month for an industry conference.
The sixth annual VoIP Conference and Expo will be held at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) between October 12th and 14th.
The event will bring together industry officials with regulatory bodies and government agencies to discuss the current and future state of the sector.
Carol Davids, Alva C Todd professor of information technology and management at the IIT's VoIP laboratory, claimed both small and large companies will be represented at the show.
She said: "Many conferences strive to bring senior level technology and business leaders together in one place but fall short of that goal. The IIT VoIP conference does just that."
Attendees will see a range of presentations and exhibits, including a talk chaired by Verizon Communications on the future of
IP telephony solutions.
