Network upgrade could boost UK broadcaster's VoIP solutions

UK broadcasters could benefit from improved VoIP solutions following an upgrade to their broadband network.

SIS LIVE, a firm which provides high-speed internet access to British news agencies, is adopting VT iDirect's Evolution platform.

The new platform will allow SIS LIVE to efficiently allocate bandwidth to its customers, enabling organisations to use VoIP and video services effectively.

Broadcasters can also designate bandwidth to particular applications during periods of high network traffic via iDirect's quality of service feature.
