US VoIP traffic could be set to rise following the announcement that Apple will now deliver the iPad within 24 hours.
Apple is now offering customers the chance to receive any version of the iPad within one day of ordering the device from its online store, compared to an initial two-week waiting period.
More US consumers could access
VoIP solutions as the iPad becomes increasingly accessible in the country.
Users can access
IP telephony solutions on the Wi-Fi enabled tablet with a Bluetooth USB headset and
VoIP software or via the in-built microphone.
There was unprecedented demand for the iPad after its launch on April 3rd, with Apple struggling to cope with the huge orders for the new tablet.
The computer giant sold 300,000 units on the first day of its release and the clamour for the product meant many consumers had to wait up to 15 days to receive an iPad.
