Mobile VoIP solutions offer consumers and businesses different benefits, it has been claimed.

Although all mobile VoIP service users can benefit from cheaper call plans and improved efficiency, homes and firms may be attracted to different qualities

Andrew Wiggin, writing for telecommunications website icepop.com, claimed businesses choose to adopt the technology as it is more efficient than traditional phone system.

He said: "While the consumer's actions are primarily driven by a desire to save money, the business owner is more driven by the need to increase productivity and employee satisfaction."

Mr Wiggin added that staff can make a VoIP call with their mobile phone using their firm's business number as the origin of the call rather than a personal number.

Furthermore, employees can receive calls from their work extension on their mobile phone and transfer calls back to department personnel in the office.
