All firms can 'benefit' from VoIP solutions

All firms can benefit from the introduction of VoIP solutions, it has been claimed.

Richard McGravie, president of private branch exchange systems provider Positron Telecom, expressed his belief that both small and large sized companies can profit from the technology.

He told tmc.net: "VoIP inside the office will largely be transparent to you and will save you money, while VoIP outside can add new services and save you money too."

Mr McGravie claimed that smaller firms who plan to deploy IP telephony solutions can save money on cabling as internet and voice data will be transferred via the same Ethernet cable.

Furthermore, smaller companies are unlikely to transfer a large amount of data which could impact on call quality.

Larger businesses can also save costs on long distance calls and linking offices together, while customer service could be improved as firms can offer local dial numbers to customers around the world.
