A US firm has released a new range of VoIP hardware which could help boost firm's' productivity.

Corporate Telecommunications (Corptel) has launched a range of hands-free headsets which are specifically designed for use with IP telephony solutions.

The company claims that employees using the technology can be more productive as they are able to take notes and operate a computer during a call.

Jamie Carter, IT marketing support team leader at Corptel, expressed his belief that companies will benefit from using the headsets.

He said: "Having both hands free whilst on a call is a much better way to do business. You can move about in your natural state and this allows you to be much more fluent during the phone call.

"I personally could not think of taking an important phone call without my headset."

Corptel was founded in 1994 by the present managing director Tony Molloy. The firm recorded a turnover in excess of £9.5 million at the end of 2007.
