VoIP traffic could be set to increase following the release of two new tablets which support internet telephony.

The Fujitsu LifeBook TH700 and T730 models feature a built-in stereo microphone to allow users to access IP telephony solutions via Wi-Fi.

Both touch-screen devices are designed for first-time tablet users as they can interact with the device with the provided stylus or via the keyboard.

Ivan Chan, business director of Fujitsu PC Australia, claimed customers would be benefit from the technology's intuitive control system.

He said: "The Fujitsu LifeBook TH700 and T730 with its responsive multi-touch screen are designed to allow you to interact with a tablet-convertible notebook the way you want it to be: using keyboard, stylus pen or two finger touch."

The developers have increased the thickness of the chassis compared to previous models to ensure for better ventilation during protracted use.

Each model is fitted with a 12.1-inch screen, an integrated DVD drive and a 2.0 mega pixel camera.
