VoIP phones ideal for summer holidays

British holidaymakers should consider using VoIP hardware while abroad, it has been claimed.

With the summer holidays fast approaching, many Britons will be eager to keep in contact with loved ones without facing large international call charges.

Dale Powell Jr, a former US Navy electronics technician, claimed VoIP video phones offer users an affordable method of international communication.

He wrote on ezinearticles.com: "Internet video phones are the wave of the very near future. They exist now, and will only grow in their ability to keep family and friends in touch."

Mr Powell highlighted the other advantages of VoIP video calling, such as assisting deaf and mute users, who can communicate with each other via sign language.

Firms could also profit from the technology, as remote employees can maintain contact with the office from anywhere in the world.

This will not only save money on travel costs but could also have environmental benefits as staff would not travel as frequently.
