US firm sees benefits of VoIP solutions

A US firm has chosen to adopt VoIP solutions after learning of the huge potential cost savings available with the technology.

VoIP service provider Cypress Communications found that Crump Insurance Services could save around $10,000 (£6,600) a month in efficiency savings.

John Schroeder, senior vice president of IT for Crump, expressed his belief that the saved income could be used to help expand the firm.

He said: "Cypress' C4 IP will save us substantial capital and operating costs, enable our employees to utilise better communications and allow us to use those savings to fund other major initiatives to strengthen our infrastructure platform."

The firm's previous communication structure was deemed inefficient as each office operated its own system, which led to the duplication of both infrastructure and labour.

Crump will deploy IP telephony solutions throughout its 24 offices located across America.
