VoIP solutions selected by disaster recovery servicePosted 1 year 11 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2010-06-24 Rate this article: A disaster recovery service in Florida has chosen to introduce VoIP solutions. The Florida Business Continuity Center (FBCC), an organisation which provides a temporary location for firms who can not operate in their headquarters, will use Qoncert hosted VoIP services. Businesses that have suffered from a natural disaster or system failure can re-locate to the FBCC to continue operations as normal. IP telephony solutions were chosen as the main form of voice communication as they are more reliable and less susceptible to damage compared to standard phone lines Lou Rossi, president and chief executive officer of Qoncert, was full of praise for the technology. He said: "Our partnership with the FBCC is a critical component to our business plan moving forward as it allows us to take disaster recovery one step further by offering onsite facilities to house call center agents, mission critical employees, and executives who will have access to their voice services as if they were still in their office." The FBCC, which is located 168-feet above sea level, is outside of both the flood and hurricane risk-zones.
