The expansion of HD VoIP could encourage more businesses to adopt IP telephony solutions, according to experts.

HD phones can capture a greater range of the sound spectrum compared to standard phones, allowing users to hear calls in much greater detail.

The superior sound quality available from HD technology could mean that more businesses adopt VoIP solutions.

Saiju George, VoIP technology expert at ezinearticles.com, expressed his belief that improved call quality would boost business productivity.

He wrote: "With HD Voice, users can hear a wider range of sounds, enabling them to distinguish words and letters more clearly, particularly in conversations with people with unfamiliar accents."

Remote employees would spend less time attempting to comprehend teleconference calls and devote more time to retaining the information on offer.

In order for users to access HD-quality calls, both ends of the line must have access to the technology or the call will be downgraded to standard quality.

Mr George expects this to become irrelevant once more businesses adopt the technology following the expansion of 4G networks.
