US firm sees benefits of VoIP services

A US firm has significantly improved communication after introducing VoIP services, it has been revealed.

Advanced Communications and Media provided the technology for a Florida-based telemarketing company, who are now reaping the rewards of VoIP solutions.

The technology firm provided 40 phones across two call centres which improved both internal and external communication, reports dbusinessnews.com.

Michael O’Rourke, president of Advanced Communications, told the website: "They can transfer calls and use an intercom as if they're in the same building, and a supervisor can oversee both offices in terms of both security and personnel management."

Following the introduction of the technology, the telemarketing firm has saved around $1,000 (£695) a month compared to their precious phone system.

The VoIP service also enables the business to add call forwarding and new numbers via a secure website.
