Consumer VoIP solutions to 'benefit' from Virgin price-cut

Consumer VoIP solutions could be set to improve following Virgin Media's decison to cut broadband prices.

The company has announced it will reduce the cost of its three main broadband packages for the first three months of a contract.

VoIP solutions may therefore improve as users are able to access affordable super-fast broadband, resulting in a more reliable and higher-quality call connection.

Customers who opt for the L broadband package will be able to access broadband speeds of 10Mbps for an initial fee of just £5 a month.

For those who have a lot of VoIP hardware users on the same network, the firm is also offering speeds of 20Mbps for £10 a month and 50 Mbps for the monthly fee of £15.

The deal is only available to new customers and is valid until June 30th 2010.

Last year, Virgin Media consistently came top of broadband speed tests, while it was also awarded the Fastest Home Broadband award by comparison site Top 10.
