The Conservatives have published their Conservative Technology Manifesto and it indicates that UK VoIP traffic could receive a boost.

The Conservatives claim that their plans will give Britain the fastest high-speed broadband network in Europe, helping to create 600,000 additional jobs.

According to their manifesto, this will help "make the British government the most technology-friendly in the world".

The plan could even mean that "the next-generation of Google's, Microsoft's and Facebook's are British companies", according to the Conservatives.

By providing super-fast broadband the Conservatives could stimulate UK business by making the country more attractive as the base for European data centres, hosting providers and other fibre dependent companies.

And, if the plan is a success, the lay consumer could benefit from a reliable network for advanced VoIP traffic.
