Applications that emulate IP telephony solutions will offer users increased functionality on 4G networks compared to 3G networks, according to the IT business development company. In an article on business technology news website IT Business Edge, ChannelVission said that 4G, or Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks, are expected to grow considerably in the near future. Dilip Tinnelvelly, VP of product management technology at ChannelVission, described LTE networks as "next-generation" and "high-performance", adding that 4G offers at least five times the download speeds of 3G. From the point of view of the VoIP provider, the anticipated quick increase in LTE subscribers offers a potential boost to help them recover from the recession. Major mobile telecommunications carriers are preparing to deploy 4G networks, while VoIP hardware suppliers and other mobile communications enterprises are finding themselves a role in the wireless market. 3 UK turned on its 10,000th 3G mobile broadband site last week, the Mobile telecommunications company announced. The new site means that 3 UK's 3G coverage now reaches almost 93 per cent of the population. Related articlesShareComments![]() Be the first to write a comment!
