Commercial VoIP solutions use to grow

Companies are putting plans in place to roll-out VoIP solutions despite the recession because of the cost savings on offer, recent analysis from Frost & Sullivan found.

The business research and consulting firm found that, while a lot businesses have faced severe budget cuts, many are still preparing to migrate to VoIP.

George Van Horn, senior analyst at industry market research company IBISWorld, said: "Growth in commercial is expected to expand significantly in the future."

Mr Van Horn said that the IP telephony solutions sector is set to grow further as the technology's "quality and price advantages become more compelling to larger businesses".

"As technology of the product and service improves it is likely that growth will accelerate and businesses will switch to this platform due to the cost savings associated," he explained.

VoIP was the best performing industry of the last decade, according to figures published last month by IBISWorld.

Technology industries like VoIP that thrived over the last ten years will continue to do so through the next decade, IBISWorld predicted.
