Businesses looking for reliability guarantee before installing VoIP solutionsPosted 1 year 2 weeks ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2009-07-13 Rate this article: Many businesses want a guarantee that VoIP hardware will be reliable on their existing systems before making an investment in the technology, according to an expert organisation. IT performance management provider Apparent Networks said that companies can perform full system checks before making a purchase to check that VoIP solutions will work to their full capacity. Once checks are out of the way, businesses can often find they can make significant savings on their communications spending by opting for the VoIP solution that best suits them. Jill Mullan, a spokesperson for Apparent Networks, said: "While VoIP can provide tremendous cost savings, companies are hesitant to take on the project without data indicating that it will be successful." She added that many firms are also looking for ways to check the effectiveness of VoIP solutions on systems that are partly run through third-party providers. Nearly 40 per cent of network managers cite network performance concerns as the main reason they have delayed application deployments, according to figures from Apparent Networks.
