Businesses urged to upgrade to VoIPPosted 2 years 10 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2009-06-25 Rate this article: Businesses could upgrade to VoIP services during the recession as a way to insulate their operations from the impact of the economic downturn, it has been claimed. While many businesses could be put off implementing a unified communications system during the recession because of the large initial outlay required, one expert has told TMCnet that a failure to make the move now could result in longer term costs having a negative effect on business growth. Writing for the publication, Leo Zheng of Junction Networks has explained that businesses can benefit from implementing unified communications and VoIP structures during the recession because it will help them to save money and improve the services they offer to clients. "In the midst of a recession, cutting the fat is now more important than ever for businesses everywhere," he said. Mr Zheng added: "It takes a company that is mindful of the big picture to realise that the cost savings and increases in efficiency are too good to pass up." A number of recent reports have suggested that the UK could be emerging from recession, but several experts have warned that the UK economy remains fragile and the recovery could be some way off, meaning it remains important for businesses to find ways to cut costs over the months ahead.
