VoIP solutions could help reduce travel costs for businessesPosted 2 years 8 months ago in: General VoIP ![]() Telappliant News: 2009-06-10 Rate this article: The wider use of VoIP hardware and other technology such as video conferencing could help more businesses to reduce their expenses. Research conducted by Vanson Bourne revealed that over 30 per cent of businesses are asking employees to reduce their travel and have fewer in-person meetings in a bid to save money and communicating online using VoIP solutions is one option. Many employees are concerned that reducing the number of face-to-face meetings could have a detrimental effect, but embracing technology could mean that any problems are minimised. John Dunsmure, managing director of the British Chambers of Commerce, said: "The overall strength of a company is greater than the sum of its parts, so while it is natural for staff to feel less secure and more hesitant about sharing ideas, teamwork can play a key role in getting us through the downturn." The majority of small business owners in the UK consider teamwork to be one of the top three most important elements of success during the recession. In related news, Komplett.ie recently reported that more businesses could adopt VoIP solutions if their knowledge of the technology improves.
